Pariti is a venture-backed startup building a community-led marketplace for entrepreneurs in emerging markets. We are looking for a Community Manager to create a space where entrepreneurs, experts and other key stakeholders in the early-stage startup ecosystem will come to collaborate with & learn from each other. You will have a track record of creative problem solving, experimenting on the fly, and have an ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

You have been growing for quite some time and are looking for your big break in to a visionary leadership role
We’ve built out the beta version of the community so far. But that said, your input will drive our community strategy in both the short- and long-term. Some of what you’ll be responsible for can be outline as follows:
Evaluating our current community, processes, rituals and protocols and developing, and testing new ones as needed.
Nurture and manage a community of a diverse set of remote freelancers, fellows, founders & investors to lead to meaningful interactions.
Develop deep connections and a feedback loop with members of our community to drive engagement as well as Pariti content (spotlights, interviews, thought leadership, etc.)
Maintain a solid and current understanding of the early-stage investing ecosystem to ensure success for our clients
Evangelize Pariti and its product to others in the ecosystem.
B.A/B.S.inBusiness, Finance , Communications, Marketing or a related field with 2+years of startup, marketing or community experience
An evangelist, movement creator, leader at heart with a fire to help bring parity to underserved communities
Proven team player with experience working in fast-paced organizations
In-depth understanding of the early-stage startup ecosystem in Africa and emerging markets more generally
Strong written and oral communication skills
Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills
An unparalleled passion for lifelong learning & doing
Adaptability, willing to take on tasks in a startup context that are outside of your defined role
Direct, clear communication and speak up attitude
Ability to work independently in a remote-first company with lots of ambiguity
